Globaly, the sport of motorcycling has multi millions of riders. Fortune Business Reports the global motorcycle market size was $75.63 billion in 2022 & is projected to grow from $79.57 billion in 2023 to $124.09 billion by 2030.
Many in this market started as kids that their parents or grandparents bought them.

The passion for the sport is often imbedded when riders were kids and their families bought them a small motorcycle. This is not lost on the big motorcycle manufactures like Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki and KTM.
All of these companies are after your dollars because they know that once a kid starts smiling he or she will probably be smiling on a motorcycle for life. Honda is the world leader in this segment with the CRF50 with only Yamaha’s PW50 even close.
The secret to their success is simple, they make kids a priority with save, reliable clean fun. Keeping it simple , fun and affordable is a formula for success.
SkyQuest reports that in terms of global sales in the motorcycle market, Honda was the largest motorcycle company with shipments totaling 20.3 million units in 2021 followed by Yamaha and Suzuki. In terms of market share, Honda held a 50% market share.
While targeting kids is a successful strategy, manufacturers and dealers must also prioritize safety and parental involvement, to teach responsible riding practices.
Parents should engage young riders in a responsible and positive manner that will foster a safe and sustainable motorcycle culture that benefits the family, the industry and the bike culture.
