Great Rivals make great sport. In football, Rangers and Celtic in hockey Montreal and Toronto and in every sporting endeavor on the planet there are rivalries that enrichen the sport. In motorcycle racing at the highest level there are rivalries that are acrimonious and those that are more friendly. For me Mike Hailwood and Giacomo Agostini and Marc Marquez and Andrea Dovizioso were rivals that make me smile. I have always believed what the great speedway champion Franta Juhan told me. He said ” Duncan, you race to win and you lose with grace”. What do you think?
