This video offers a glimpse into the meteoric rise of Stark Future and its remarkable lineup of VARG electric motorcycles.

My own journey in the motorcycle industry began in 1964 when my love of motorcycles led me to work for the Canadian Honda distributor in Toronto. I later moved to Vancouver to join the British Columbia distributor. In those days, Honda motorcycles were sold through regional distributors until Honda Canada was established in 1969.

Back then, it wasn’t unusual to hear someone ask, “What is a Honda?

More than sixty years later, I find myself witnessing another revolution. After spending a lifetime in the motorcycle business, I can honestly say that while we’ve come a long way, the future of motorcycling may be even more exciting than its past.

The innovation, performance, and technology behind Stark Future’s VARG electric motorcycles suggest that a new chapter in motorcycling has only just begun.

As I said, when I first started over six decades ago, people often asked, “What is a Honda?” It won’t be long before no one asks, “What is an electric motorcycle?”

About Stark Future:

Stark Future is a Barcelona-based technology company focused on premium electric motorcycles, founded in 2020. The company was created to prove that electric powertrain technology could outperform combustion across every dimension that matters to riders: power, weight, control, range and overall experience.

Its flagship platform, the VARG, has become the best-selling electric enduro motorcycle in Germany, France, and Italy, and has achieved a 50% market share in Germany within its first year of commercial availability – the fastest category penetration in any known vehicle category in history.

In its fifth year, Stark reports 212% year-on-year revenue growth in Q1 2026, EBITDA profitability, and results ahead of its internal budget.

The company is preparing for an IPO within the next three years and is raising additional capital in 2026 to fund expansion into larger global motorcycle categories.

Stark operates from its production and engineering headquarters in Barcelona and has confirmed battery supply partnerships with EVE and Wanxiang A123 to support scale. (Global News Wire)

POINT OF VIEW

If I were Stark Future, I’d wait to launch an IPO until the uncertainty surrounding the Trump presidency has passed. Financial markets value stability, and periods of political and trade uncertainty can make it harder for innovative companies to achieve the valuation they deserve.

Stark Future has built remarkable momentum. In my view, giving the company more time to grow before going public could ultimately benefit both the business and its future shareholders.
