The three names that pop into my head when I think Motorcycle Trials are Dougie Lamkin who for me is, the Scottish Six Days, Toni Bou who has been World Trials Champion so many times it is mind boggling and, Malcolm Smith who rides everything and makes everyone smile. While Malcolm is best known for cross country and the International Six Days Trial (ISDT) , he can ride anything and smile about it. Malcolm is also a Canadian, Salt Spring Island. B.C. If you love motorcycle sport, you would have to agree as Bruce Brown said in his movie On Any Sunday, “they are the magicians of the motorcycle world”. These three little clips which I assembled while doing my book revue for Dougie Lampkins “Trials and Error” will give you a taste of why!
I will note that the amazing Sammy Miller needed to be included but for this I was stuck on the number three and Miller deserves his own wee bit. Stay Tuned!
